Mary's Own Experiences

As a single mother of three children, Mary's journey with teen challenges began over 13 years ago. At the time Mary was thriving in a successful career as a senior manager with a financial services company. She was hard at work and doing her best to provide a strong, values based home for her family. All seemed to be right on track with raising her little family when two of her children, struggling to find their place in life, managed to find themselves on the same destructive path that so many teens are falling victim to in this day and age.

After exhausting all resources, e.g. family therapy, religious support, school counselor, new agreements within the home, etc., she finally realized her kids had forced her to make the toughest decision a parent could make. Recognizing stronger solutions were needed to halt their self-destructive choices, Mary enrolled them into therapeutic boarding schools.


Like the parents Mary now works with daily, she was committed to finding a School that was “parent friendly”, a School that would embrace the family as a whole; not one that merely enrolls the child, works with them and sends them home. Mary knew that her kids' issues were a family challenge, and that would require a family journey. They were a family and they would do it together. With that parental leadership and attitude, Mary set the pace for her children that ultimately fostered the growth, learning, and reunification back to a whole and healthy family.
